UFO sightings in the United Kingdom facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

This article lists some well-known stories about people seeing unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in the United Kingdom. Many more sightings have become known since the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) released its UFO reports between 2008 and 2013. In recent years, many sightings of slow-moving lights in the night sky have turned out to be Chinese lanterns. A study called Project Condign, done between 1997 and 2000, looked into all reported UFO sightings in the UK. It concluded that these sightings could be explained by people mistaking normal objects or natural events for something unknown.
