Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia facts for kids
The UNAD or Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia is a big public school in Colombia. It's special because it helps many students learn from far away, often using computers and the internet. This means students don't always have to go to a physical classroom every day.
Right now, about 75,000 students are learning at UNAD. A large number, around 60,000 students, are studying for their first college degrees. These are called undergraduate programs, which are higher education courses you take after finishing high school. The other 15,000 students are taking different kinds of courses, maybe for special skills or to learn new things.
