Cerro Uritorco is a famous mountain in Argentina. It is located near the Calabalumba River in the city of Capilla del Monte. This city is in the northwest part of the Córdoba province.
Cerro Uritorco is the tallest point in the Sierras Chicas mountain range. Its top is 1,949 meters (6,394 feet) high. That's almost 2 kilometers above sea level! The mountain is about 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from the city center. The name Uritu urqu comes from a language called Santiago del Estero Quichua. It means "Male Hill."
Visiting Cerro Uritorco
Cerro Uritorco is owned by a private group. You can visit it, but you need to pay a small fee. Many people enjoy hiking to the top of the mountain.
