Valdomiro Vaz Franco, known to many simply as Valdomiro, is a famous former Brazilian footballer. He was born on February 17, 1946. Valdomiro played as a forward, which means he was a player who focused on scoring goals. He was also a winger, playing on the sides of the field.

Valdomiro is especially remembered for his amazing time with the Brazilian club Internacional. He played a huge role in their success during the 1970s.

Playing for Brazil

Valdomiro played for the Brazilian national team between 1973 and 1977. He played 17 matches for his country during this time. He also scored 5 goals while representing Brazil.

He was an important part of the Brazilian team that played in the 1974 FIFA World Cup. At this big international tournament, Valdomiro played in 6 games. He even scored one goal during the World Cup.

Club Success with Internacional

Valdomiro spent most of his career playing for Internacional. He played for them from 1968 to 1979, and then again in 1982. He played an incredible 853 games for Internacional, scoring 192 goals.

One of his most famous moments was in the 1976 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A final. Internacional played against Corinthians in this important match. Valdomiro scored a goal in that final game. His performance was so good that he was named the best player of the match.

Other Clubs Valdomiro Played For

Before joining Internacional, Valdomiro started his career at Comerciário. He played there from 1965 to 1967. In 1968, he also played briefly for Perdigão.

After his long first period with Internacional, Valdomiro moved to Colombia. He played for Millionarios from 1980 to 1981. He then returned to Internacional for one last season in 1982 before retiring.
