He went to college in Boston. He studied business at Northeastern University. He also went to the New England Conservatory of Music. While in college, he quickly learned to play the double bass.
Just eight months after starting, a famous saxophone player named Donald Harrison asked him to join his band. Vicente's first time recording music was on Donald Harrison's album "Free to Be."
