Early Life and Pageant Success
Vielka grew up in Concepción de la Vega, a city in the Dominican Republic. Before becoming a TV star in Mexico, she worked in television in the Dominican Republic. In 1994, Vielka won the title of Miss Dominican Republic. This big win allowed her to represent her country in the Miss Universe 1994 competition.
Television Career
After her success in beauty pageants, Vielka moved to Mexico. There, she started working in telenovelas, which are like long TV soap operas. She became a familiar face on television. Vielka hosted a show called Hoy. More recently, she has been hosting the show Estrellas hoy, which you can watch on Estrella TV.
