Vienna is a small place in Forsyth County, North Carolina, in the United States. It is called an unincorporated community. This means it is not an official town or city with its own local government. Instead, it is part of the larger county.
The heart of Vienna is mainly found around Vienna-Dozier Road and Yadkinville Road. Vienna was actually a separate town for a while, becoming official in 1794.
A Part of Lewisville
On June 30, 2004, a nearby town called Lewisville took over Vienna. This process is called annexation. It means Lewisville expanded its borders to include Vienna. Many people who lived in Vienna did not want this to happen. Even though it is now part of Lewisville, Vienna still feels like its own special community.
