Vilaür is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Girona province, within an area called Alt Empordà. Vilaür is known as a municipality, which is like a local government area.

Vilaür is a quiet place with a rich history. As of 2018, about 147 people lived there. The town is built around its main church. You can still see parts of its old walls from the Middle Ages. These walls once protected the town.

Vilaür is located on the right side of the Fluvià river. Part of the area is flat, right next to the river. The rest of the land rises into mountains. These mountains mark the end of the flat river plain in Alt Empordà. The highest point is about 140 meters (460 feet) above sea level.
