Vincenzo Cerami (born November 2, 1940 – died July 17, 2013) was a talented Italian writer. He was known for writing stories for movies, creating novels, and even writing poetry.
Vincenzo Cerami's Life Story
Vincenzo Cerami started his career in 1967. He worked on more than 40 films during his life. He would either write new movie scripts or adapt existing stories into screenplays.
In 1976, he published his very first novel. It was called Un borghese piccolo piccolo, which means A Very Normal Man. This book became popular very quickly. The next year, it was even made into a movie!
Another one of his well-known books was a "verse novel" called Addio Lenin (Goodbye Lenin). He published this book in 1981.
One of his biggest achievements was in 1999. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. This was for the famous movie Life Is Beautiful.
