A voltage regulator acts like a guardian, keeping the voltage steady.

Why Do We Need Them?

The electricity coming from a wall outlet or a battery isn't always perfectly steady. It can sometimes go up or down a little. This can happen because of other devices turning on or off, or because the power source itself isn't perfectly stable. Sensitive electronics, like the ones in your phone, computer, or game console, need a very precise voltage to work. How Do They Work?

Voltage regulators work by taking an input voltage that might be changing and adjusting it to a fixed, steady output voltage.
