Vurtego facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Vurtego pogo sticks are special jumping toys. They are different from regular pogo sticks because they use air to help you jump, not a metal spring. These pogo sticks are made for big jumps and awesome tricks. They let riders jump very high!

One great thing about air-powered pogo sticks is that you can change how stiff they are. You just add more or less air pressure. This means the same Vurtego pogo stick can be used by a small kid or a grown-up. You just adjust the air pressure to fit the person jumping. Because they use air, there is no maximum weight limit.

Air springs are better than other types of pogo stick springs. An air spring is very light compared to a metal spring. It can also create much more power for its weight. A metal spring strong enough to make you jump over five feet would be too heavy. Other materials, like rubber bands, can wear out or break over time. Vurtego pogo sticks weigh less than 11 pounds (about 5 kg). But they can create a huge push of 1500 pounds (about 8,000 newtons)!

Vurtego Pogo Stick Models

Vurtego has made several different models of their pogo sticks over the years. Each new model brought improvements and new features.

V1 Model

In January 2006, Vurtego launched its first pogo stick, the V1. This was the first air-powered extreme pogo stick ever sold. It could make you jump more than seven feet high! The V1 had a special plastic body and strong aluminum footrests. It also had a stainless steel shaft that did not spin.

V2 Model

Vurtego released the V2 model in 2008. The V2 was similar to the V1 but had some upgrades. The shaft was turned a bit to make it stronger. The footrests were also bigger and slightly curved. There was a cheaper version called the 'power pogo'. It jumped just as well as the V2 but was made with less expensive materials. Another version, the V2 'Fit', was made for exercise. The V2 came in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

V3 Model

The V3 model came out in late 2009. The V3 was like the V2 but had an aluminum tube. It also had a new air piston that did not need bolts. There were two types of V3: the standard V3, which was grey, and the 'V3 Stealth', which was all black. Both versions performed the same. The V3 also came in three sizes.

V4 Model

Vurtego's newest pogo stick, the V4, arrived in late 2015. The V4 was a big change from earlier models. Its whole design focused on a new Air Piston. This new piston increased the air space by 10%. More air means a smoother, softer bounce, like jumping on a trampoline. The V4 lets you jump higher with less effort than older models.

To make the bounce even smoother, the V4 used a smaller seal and new parts to reduce rubbing. It also had a stronger, tougher rubber part that helped quiet the sound. Four extra holes were added to the cylinder to improve air flow. The V4 also had a longer jump stroke. This meant riders could jump higher without hitting the bottom. The V4 Pro had an even longer stroke. The last big update was a round grip tip. This tip gives you the same grip no matter how you land. The V4 comes in white, and the V4 Pro is a bright green color.
