Wacky Waters Adventure Park was a fun water park in Davenport, Iowa. It was open for many years, from 1984 to 2006. In 2007, the park closed its doors. The land was then sold to a college district. Now, it's a training center for fire departments and rescue teams.

In 1986, something really unique happened at Wacky Waters! A couple decided to get married right on top of the park's "Daredevil" water slide. After saying their vows, they sealed it with a kiss as they slid down the big slide. This special event even got attention across the country!

Cool Rides and Attractions

Before Wacky Waters Adventure Park closed, it had many exciting things to do. Here are some of the fun attractions visitors could enjoy:

  • Bumper boats: These were small boats that people could drive around and bump into each other.
  • Kids' Pirate Ship: A special area designed for younger kids, shaped like a pirate ship.
  • L'il Squirt Children's Slide: A smaller slide perfect for little ones.
  • Extreme Slide called the Bonsai: This was a very thrilling slide for those who loved speed.
  • Two Body Slides, Daredevil & Thunderbolt: These were two popular slides where you slid down without a tube.
  • The Wave Pool: A large pool that made waves, just like the ocean.
  • Pond with Diving Boards and Zip Lines: A pond where you could dive into the water or zip across it on a line.
  • Go Carts: Small, fast cars that you could race around a track.
  • Miniature Golf: A fun course for playing a smaller version of golf.
