Wacky Wednesday is a fun book for young readers. It was written by the famous author Dr. Seuss, who used the name Theo. LeSieg for this story. The amazing pictures were drawn by George Booth. This book has forty-eight pages filled with silly, unexpected things happening everywhere! Imagine a world where a palm tree grows in your toilet or an airplane flies backward. That's what you'll find in Wacky Wednesday!
What Happens in the Book?
The story begins when a child wakes up to a very strange sight: a shoe stuck on the wall! Then, they look up and see another shoe on the ceiling. As the child goes through their morning, more and more "wacky" things appear. The number of strange items grows with each page you turn.
The child tries to tell others about these weird happenings. They go to school and try to warn their classmates. But everyone ignores them! Even their teacher, Miss Bass, thinks the child is causing trouble and sends them out of the classroom.
As the world gets crazier, the child runs around, trying to escape or find help. Finally, they meet a police officer named Patrolman McGann. He explains that Wacky Wednesday will only end when every single wacky thing has been counted. The very last page of the book has twenty wacky things to find!
At the end of the day, the child goes to bed. The shoe that was on the wall is finally gone. This means the wacky day is over, and everything is back to normal.
