Walid Azaro (Arabic: وليد أزارو) is a professional footballer from Morocco. He was born on June 11, 1995. Walid plays as a striker, which means he is a player who focuses on scoring goals. He currently plays for Ajman and also represents the Moroccan national team.
Walid Azaro started his football journey in his home country, Morocco. In 2017, he joined a big club called Al Ahly. In his very first season there, he became the top goalscorer in the Egyptian Premier League. He also started playing for the Morocco national team in 2017.

Walid Azaro's Club Journey
Walid Azaro was born in a place called Aït Melloul in Morocco. He began his football career playing for a local team named Adrar Souss. This team was in the third division of the Moroccan league.
In 2015, Walid joined Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi, another club in Morocco. He signed a three-year contract with them. During the 2016–17 season, he was the best goalscorer for his club, scoring twelve goals in the league.
Moving to Al Ahly
In June 2017, Walid Azaro had offers from many European clubs. However, he decided to join Al Ahly, a famous club in the Egyptian Premier League. He signed a four-year deal, and the transfer cost about $1.4 million. Even the manager of the Moroccan national team, Hervé Renard, tried to convince him to go to Europe. Walid's move was special because he was the first Moroccan player to join Al Ahly.
In his first season with Al Ahly, Walid was amazing! He scored 18 goals in the league. This made him the top goalscorer in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2017–18 season. His goals helped Al Ahly win their 40th league title. He even broke a record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in the Egyptian Premier League. He also scored the only goal in the 2017 Egyptian Super Cup. In the semi-final of the 2017 CAF Champions League, he scored three goals in one game against a team from Tunisia. Because of his great performances, other clubs became interested in him.
Playing for Al-Ettifaq and Ajman
In October 2020, Walid Azaro moved to a Saudi club called Al-Ettifaq. He had been on loan there since January of that year. He signed a permanent deal for two years. After playing for Al-Ettifaq, Walid left the club on January 30, 2022. He then joined Ajman, where he continues to play as a striker.
Walid Azaro's International Career
Walid Azaro played his first game for the Morocco national team on March 24, 2017. He came on as a substitute in a match where Morocco won 2–0 against Burkina Faso. He was also chosen for Morocco's first squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. However, he was later not included in the final team that went to the World Cup.
