Early Career in England
Wally started his journey in football with Rawmarsh Welfare. He then joined Sheffield United in 1958. During his time there, he played five games and scored one goal. This was a great start to his professional career.
Playing for York City
In 1961, Wally moved to York City. This was a very important part of his career. He played in 120 matches for York City, which is a lot of games! He also scored 25 goals, showing his ability to find the back of the net.
Moving to Brighton
