Awesome Water Rides and Fun Zones
Water Country USA has many exciting rides and areas for all ages. Get ready to splash and have a blast!
Thrilling Water Slides
- Aquazoid: This is a long, mostly dark raft slide. It's 863 feet long! You ride in a raft through enclosed tunnels. Right now, it's closed for repairs.
- Big Daddy Falls: This raft slide is 670 feet long. It has open parts and a "lazy river" section. You'll float through waterfalls before a final splash!
- Colossal Curl: Added in 2014, this huge raft slide is a real thrill. It has a giant funnel shape where you swing high up the sides. Then, you soar up and down a massive wall! You ride in a special four-person tube.
- Cutback Water Coaster: Opened in 2019, this is a super cool water coaster. It has five "FLYINGSAUCER" sections. Your raft spins around tilted saucers, making you feel like you're dropping and diving! Water jets push you up three uphill sections. This ride is over 850 feet long. You ride in a four-person raft.
- Jammin' Jukebox: This slide tower has three twisting body slides. They were built in 2008.
- Jet Scream: These are four classic inner tube slides. Each slide is over 400 feet long. You can reach speeds of about 25 miles per hour! These slides are mostly open, with a few dark sections.
- Malibu Pipeline: These are two inner tube slides, each over 450 feet long. They are mostly enclosed. Both slides end with a 55-foot drop into a pool! The two slides are named "Bonzai" and "Oahu."
- Nitro Racer: This is a six-lane mat racer slide. It's about 320 feet long. You race head-first on a mat! It's a quick ride, lasting about four seconds. It opened in 1998.
- Rampage: These two unique slides send riders down a steep ramp. You go down at a 60-degree angle! You build enough speed to skip across a 120-foot shallow pool. This type of slide is rare in North America.
- Vanish Point: This is a 75-foot-tall slide complex with four speed slides. It opened in 2011. You can choose to plunge straight down 300-foot slides. Or, you can slide through enclosed loops using "SKYBOX" technology. This means you stand in a capsule, and a trapdoor opens below you!
- Wild Thang: This is a 500-foot-long inner tube slide. It's completely open, and you ride in a two-person tube.
Relaxing Rivers and Play Areas
- Cow-A-Bunga: This is a heated water play area for younger kids (under 54 inches tall). It has small slides, fountains, and waterfalls.
- H20 UFO: This is a kids' area with splash features and slides. It also has two smaller tube slides. It's known as the largest kids' area in the park.
- Hubba Hubba Highway: This is a long lazy river, 1500 feet long! It has lots of splash features to get everyone wet. It was added in 2003.
- Kritter Korral: This is a sea-themed play area for toddlers. It has very small slides shaped like sea creatures. These are in a shallow, two-foot-deep pool.
- Little Bopper: This is a small, kid-friendly corkscrew slide. It used to be called Little Twister. It's now yellow.
- Rambling River: This is another lazy river, 736 feet long. It winds around the Rock'n'Roll Island area of the park.
- Rock'n'Roll Island: This area used to be called Adventure Isle. It was updated in 2008. It has the Jammin' Jukebox slides and the Rambling River. There's also a big activity pool and a "log cross" challenge.
- Surfer's Bay: This is a huge wave pool, the largest in Virginia! It's 23,000 square feet and up to 8 feet deep. Every 10 minutes, it creates waves up to 4 feet high. The waves run for eight minutes at a time. This pool likely opened with the park in 1984.
Past Rides and Attractions
Some rides and attractions are no longer at the park.

- Lemon Drop: These were two short yellow body slides. They dropped into a deep part of the Adventure Isle pool. They were removed in 2008.
- Little Twister: This was a small pink children's water slide. It was moved and renamed "Little Bopper" in 2008.
- Peppermint Twist: These were two steep purple body slides. They closed after the 2007 season. The tower for these slides is now used for the Jammin' Jukebox slides.
- Volleyball Courts: There used to be beach volleyball courts where the Hubba Hubba Highway is now.
- Meltdown: This was an inline boat slide that opened in 2000. It had banked turns, like a bobsled ride. It closed in 2018 to make way for the new Cutback Water Coaster. The Cutback ride follows a similar path to Meltdown.
