Watsons Water and Racing
Watsons Water has helped sponsor many race teams and drivers over the years. They often supported races at the famous Macau Grand Prix. This is a big car race held every year in Macau.
Early Race Sponsorship
Watsons Water first sponsored a race team in 1985. That year, a driver named Gianfranco Brancatelli won a race called the Guia Race. The next year, in 1986, Andy Wallace won the Formula Three event with Watsons Water's support.
In 1987, another driver, Martin Donnelly, won a race for Watsons Water's sister brand, Mr. Juicy. The race was affected by a typhoon, but he still drove very well.
Watsons Water continued to support racing teams in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They sponsored drivers like Tim Harvey, who won the Guia Race in 1989. They also worked with famous teams like Schnitzer Motorsport, helping drivers like Emanuele Pirro and Joachim Winkelhock. In 1991, Emanuele Pirro won the race again while sponsored by Watsons Water.
Later Race Sponsorship
Watsons Water kept sponsoring teams in the 2000s. They supported teams and drivers who won many races. One of these drivers was Duncan Huisman, who won the Guia Race four times. This shows how Watsons Water has been a long-time supporter of car racing.
