Wildwood is a place in Coahoma County, Mississippi, USA, that used to be a town but isn't anymore. People call places like this a "ghost town" because no one lives there now.
Wildwood's Location and History
Wildwood was located about 4 miles (which is about 6.4 kilometers) north of a town called Jonestown.
In the 1870s, a railroad called the Mobile & North Western Railroad was finished. Wildwood became a stop along this important train line.
By the year 1900, about 37 people lived in Wildwood. However, the town's post office closed down in 1905. After that, Wildwood slowly became a ghost town.
