William Griffiths (born April 7, 1912 – died April 14, 1973) was a British politician. He was a member of the Labour Party, which is one of the main political parties in the United Kingdom. William Griffiths served as a Member of Parliament (often called an MP) for different areas in Manchester for many years. An MP is someone elected by people to represent them in the country's main law-making body, the Parliament.

William Griffiths was born in 1912. He became interested in politics and joined the Labour Party. This party generally believes in helping working people and making sure everyone has fair opportunities.

William Griffiths first became a Member of Parliament in 1945. He represented an area in Manchester called Moss Side. He held this job for five years, until 1950.
