Winterfresh facts for kids
Winterfresh is a popular type of chewing gum made by the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. It has a cool, minty taste that comes from something called wintergreen.
Each stick of Winterfresh gum is about three grams and has 10 calories.
What is Winterfresh Gum?
Winterfresh gum was first sold in the United States in 1994. It was created as a new choice for people who liked the Wrigley Company's other gum, Big Red, especially during the colder months. Over the years, the gum's packaging has changed a couple of times.
Other gum brands also have a wintergreen flavor. For example, Extra gum, which is a sugar-free gum, started offering a Winterfresh flavor in 1988. Around the same time Winterfresh gum came out, Freedent gum also introduced its own wintergreen flavor.
Cool Breath Power Commercials
From 2006 to 2008, Winterfresh gum had a series of TV commercials called "Cool Breath Power." Many of these ads were part of something called "Attraction Chronicles." These commercials were made for teenagers and often showed a narrator giving strange love advice in a very unusual world.
The person who directed, drew, and animated these commercials was Karl Ackermann, along with Newgrounds animator LoveMaestro21. The animation style was done by Milky Elephant and reminded some people of the early seasons of the cartoon show South Park. The main creative people behind these ads were Bobby Pawar, Miles Turpin, and Sean Donohue. Sean Donohue was also in charge of the art for the commercials.
