Wisterman is a small place in Putnam County, Ohio. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town.
The Story of Wisterman
Wisterman started in 1883. This was when a railroad line reached the area. People decided to plan out the community then. Before that, in 1880, a post office opened in Wisterman. It helped people send and receive mail. The post office stayed open for many years. It closed down in 1910.
A Famous Person from Wisterman
Wisterman is the birthplace of a famous athlete. His name was Ivan Eastman. He was born there in 1884. Ivan Eastman was a sport shooter. He was very good at shooting targets. He even competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics.
