The Woman's Club of Warren, also known as the Myron Waters House, is a special old building in Warren, Pennsylvania. It's a historic home that has been around for a long time. Today, it's famous for being the meeting place for the Woman's Club of Warren.

This building is important because it shows us a piece of history. It was added to a special list called the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. This list helps protect important buildings across the country.

The Building's Story

The Woman's Club of Warren building was first built in 1872. It was designed in a style called Italianate. This style was popular back then and often features things like low-sloped roofs and decorative details.

What Does It Look Like?

The building is made of brick and has three floors. It also has a two-story part added to it. You might notice its roof is gently sloped. There's a welcoming porch at the entrance with a curved roof. Plus, there's a cool three-story bay window that sticks out from the side.

From Home to Club

When it was first built, the building was a private home. A family lived there for many years. But in 1922, something new happened. The Woman's Club of Warren bought the house. They turned it into their club headquarters.

Adding an Auditorium

Just two years later, in 1924, the club made a big change. They added a large auditorium to the back of the building. This auditorium could seat 500 people! It was a great space for meetings, performances, and other community events.

What is a Woman's Club?

The Woman's Club of Warren has been an active part of its community for many years. They use this historic building as their base to plan and carry out their good work.
