Woodlawn is a small place in Monroe County, which is in the state of Missouri in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does.

History of Woodlawn

A post office was opened in Woodlawn way back in 1844. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years, until it closed down in 1907. The community got its name because it is located within a larger area called Woodlawn Township.
