Woyanqudi, also known as Tuqitang, was an important leader called a Chanyu of the Xiongnu Empire. A Chanyu was like a king or emperor for the Xiongnu people. Woyanqudi became Chanyu after Xulüquanqu Chanyu. He ruled for a short time, from about 60 BC to 58 BC.

Woyanqudi's Rule

Woyanqudi was known for being a very strict ruler. He made many changes when he became Chanyu. He removed people who had supported the previous leader, Xulüquanqu Chanyu. He even removed some of his own relatives from important positions.

The End of His Reign

Woyanqudi died in 58 BC. After his death, the Xiongnu Empire faced big problems. It split into several different groups that started fighting each other. By 55 BC, two of the strongest groups were led by the sons of the previous Chanyu, Xulüquanqu. These two leaders were Huhanye Chanyu and Zhizhi Chanyu. Their rivalry led to more changes in the Xiongnu Empire.
