Xavier Eugene Prather, born on May 12, 1994, is an American lawyer and a well-known face from reality TV shows. He won the 23rd season of the TV show Big Brother. This made history, as he was the first African American to win a regular season of the show. In 2022, he also competed on The Challenge: USA. Besides his TV appearances, Xavier is a lawyer, a model, and used to play college basketball.

Xavier's Early Life and Education
Xavier Prather was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on May 12, 1994. He went to Gull Lake High School, where he was a talented player on the school's basketball team. After high school, he attended Spring Arbor University. There, he earned a degree in criminal justice. He also continued to play basketball for the university's team.
Later, Xavier went to law school. He studied at Valparaiso University School of Law before transferring to Marquette University Law School. He earned his law degree, which is called a Juris Doctor.
Career as a Lawyer and Model
After finishing law school, Xavier worked as a lawyer for a large law firm in the United States. In the spring of 2024, he started his own law practice called LawyerLike.
Outside of his legal work, Xavier is also a model. He is signed with Option 1 Models, an agency with offices in Chicago and Los Angeles. On May 27, 2023, Xavier became engaged to Kenzie Hansen.

Xavier Prather is most famous for his time on reality television. He has appeared on several popular shows.
Winning Big Brother 23
CBS announced that Xavier would be a contestant on Big Brother 23 on July 1, 2021. During his time on the show, he joined a group of six contestants called "The Cookout." This alliance was made up of only African American players. Their goal was to make sure that an African American person would finally win a regular season of Big Brother.
On September 9, 2021, during a special episode, the last contestant who was not part of The Cookout was voted off. This meant that the final six players were all members of Xavier's alliance.
Xavier won the very last Head of Household competition on September 29, 2021. He then chose to take another contestant, Derek Frazier, to the final two. Xavier was crowned the winner of the season by a unanimous vote, meaning every jury member voted for him. He won the grand prize of $750,000. He is one of only three players in the show's history to win by a unanimous vote in a regular season.
Big Brother: Reindeer Games
In 2023, CBS announced that Xavier would return to Big Brother for a special holiday spin-off season called Big Brother Reindeer Games. He made it all the way to the finale of this competition. He tied for 3rd place alongside another former contestant, Frankie Grande.
Competing on The Challenge: USA
On June 8, 2022, CBS announced that Xavier Prather would be a contestant on The Challenge: USA. This show features contestants from other reality shows like Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and Survivor.
During an episode on July 27, Xavier and his partner, Shan Smith, had to compete in an elimination challenge. They faced off against Justine Nbdia and another Big Brother alum, David Alexander. Xavier and Shan lost the challenge and were eliminated from the competition.
