Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2, known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tag Force 2, is an exciting video game. It is based on the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! animated TV series. Konami developed this game for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) system. It first came out in September 2007. This game is the second one in the fun Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force series.

How to Play Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2

When you start the game, you will create your own player profile. Then, you get to pick a duelist from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX show to be your partner. Your main goal is to build a strong deck of cards. A deck needs to have between 40 and 60 cards. The game has over 2800 different cards to collect and use!

You have several ways to play. You can duel by yourself, or you can team up with your partner in a tag duel. You can even just watch your partner duel if you want. As you win duels, your partner's "heart level" goes up. This shows how strong your bond is with them.

Tag Duels Explained

In Tag mode, you and your chosen partner duel together against two opponents. The basic rules are similar to single duels. However, you and your partner share the same life points. You also share the same field for your monsters and the same graveyard for discarded cards. Turns switch between you and your partner. This makes tag duels a fun team challenge. Just remember, you cannot play tag duels online in this game.

Fun Mini-Games

Besides dueling, you can also play mini-games. There are six different mini-games spread across the game map. Playing these mini-games is a great way to have fun. They also help to increase your partner's heart level even more.

UMD Recognition Feature

The game has a special feature called UMD recognition. This system lets you unlock rare cards. You can do this by using other Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force games. Depending on which game you use, you can get new and powerful cards. If you use past Tag Force games, you can even unlock three very special cards. These are "Slifer the Sky Dragon," "Obelisk the Tormentor," and "The Winged Dragon of Ra." You can also find hidden card packs to buy!
