Yuji Tsukada (塚田 雄二, Tsukada Yuji, born December 28, 1957) is a Japanese person who used to play and coach football. He was born in Kofu, Japan, on December 28, 1957.

Playing Football
Yuji Tsukada started his football journey after finishing his studies at Nippon Sport Science University. From 1980 to 1989, he played for a local team called Kofu SC. This team later became known as Ventforet Kofu. He played as a Midfielder, which is a player who helps both with attacking and defending.
Coaching Football Teams
After he stopped playing, Yuji Tsukada became a football coach.
Ventforet Kofu Coach
In 1995, he became the manager for Ventforet Kofu. This team was part of the Japan Football League at the time. In 1999, Ventforet Kofu joined a new league called J2 League. However, Yuji Tsukada did not yet have the special coaching license needed for this new league. So, another coach, Susumu Katsumata, took over for a short time. Yuji Tsukada worked hard to get his coaching license. He returned as the manager of Ventforet Kofu in 2000.
Cerezo Osaka Coach
In 2002, Yuji Tsukada became an assistant coach for another team, Cerezo Osaka. In October 2003, he became the main manager for Cerezo Osaka. He helped the team reach the finals of the 2003 Emperor's Cup, which is a big football competition in Japan. He also coached Cerezo Osaka again in 2006.
Japan National Youth Team
Yuji Tsukada also coached the Japan Under-20 national team in 2005. This team is made up of young, talented players under 20 years old.
