Yulparirra, also known as Yulparija, is a special language from the Wati group of languages. This group is part of the much larger Pama–Nyungan family in Australia. Yulparirra is mainly spoken in Western Australia, especially around the Bidyadanga area and north of Jigalong.
Even though some people used to think of Yulparirra as a type of Western Desert Language, it is now seen as its own distinct language. Yulparirra is also one of the languages that make up Martu Wangka, which is a mix of languages spoken by the Martu people.

This language uses 17 different consonant sounds. These sounds are made by using your lips, tongue, and other parts of your mouth in different ways.
