About Yuya's Early Life
Yuya was born in Cuernavaca, a city in Morelos, Mexico. Her full name, Mariand, is a special combination of her parents' names, Maribel and Andrés. She has a brother named Sergio, who also has his own YouTube channel. Yuya got her nickname from her uncle, who called her Yuya after a character from a Mexican TV show.
Yuya's Amazing Career
Yuya started her YouTube journey in 2009 when she was just 16 years old. She created her channel, originally called "lady16makeup," after winning a makeup contest on YouTube.
Helping Others Through YouTube
In March 2016, Yuya joined a special project with the United Nations. She was one of seven female YouTube creators who worked to promote gender equality. This campaign aimed to help empower women and girls around the world.
