Starting at Urawa Reds

Minami joined Urawa Reds, a team in Japan's top league, the J1 League, in 2002. He worked hard to become a professional player. His first game was on June 4, 2005. He played as a substitute defender in a J.League Cup match against Omiya Ardija. Even though he was with Urawa Reds until 2006, this was his only game for them.

Moving to Ehime FC

In August 2006, Minami moved to Ehime FC. This team had just been promoted to the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest league. At Ehime FC, he became a regular player. He played as a central defender during the 2006 season. He played 14 league games and scored 1 goal for them that year.

Later Career and Retirement

After 2007, Minami played less often for Ehime FC. In 2009, he moved to V-Varen Nagasaki. This club was in the Japan Football League, a lower division. He didn't play many games there either.
