Most of what we know about Zara Wright comes from the introduction of her first book, Black and White Tangled Threads. She dedicated this book to her husband, J. Edward Wright. A newspaper called the Chicago Defender gave her book a good review. They said it showed real people and events in a way that made readers feel inspired.
