Story of Zorro: Generation Z
In the year 2015, a teenager named Diego de la Vega finds out he is related to the famous Zorro. Diego is the great-great-great-great-grandson of the first Zorro! He decides to become the new Zorro.
He wears a black suit and uses advanced weapons. Zorro fights for justice in a big city called Pueblo Grande, California. He always leaves his famous "Z" mark to show he was there.
Main Characters
Diego de la Vega / Zorro
Diego comes back to Pueblo Grande after living away for a while. His father is kidnapped by the bad mayor, Martínez. Diego grew up hearing stories about the first Zorro. He quickly decides to take on the family role after finding the secret Fox Den with his friend Bernardo.
He rides a motorcycle called the Tornado–Z. This name comes from the original Zorro's horse. Diego also uses a special laser weapon called the Z–Weapon. It can change into a gun, a sword, a staff, or even a grappling hook. Only Diego or his family can use it because it has a "DNA lock." His cape is also bulletproof and can help him glide or parachute.
Bernardo
Bernardo is Diego's best friend and a super smart tech expert. He takes care of all of Zorro's gear. Bernardo also does online detective work to help Zorro. Sometimes, he even wears the Zorro costume when Diego and Zorro need to be seen in two places at once. He is very kind and has a funny sense of humor. He and Diego are like brothers.
Alejandro de la Vega
Alejandro is Diego's father and owns a big company called Dela Vega Industries. He doesn't know Diego's secret about being Zorro. He used to think Zorro was just a myth. He worries that Diego is out partying all night because he doesn't know about his secret crime-fighting.
Mrs. McAlistair
Mrs. McAlistair is the de la Vega family's housekeeper. She knows Diego's secret identity as Zorro. She supports what he is doing to help the city.
Horace Hernando Martinez
Martinez is the bad ex-mayor of Pueblo Grande. He is Zorro's biggest enemy. He makes people pay high taxes and secretly runs the city's crime groups. He is also a business rival of Diego's father. Martinez often tries to hurt Alejandro's company with his criminal plans.
Maria Martinez / Scarlet Whip
Maria is the daughter of the bad mayor, Horace Martinez. She also has a secret identity to fight against her father's corruption. She uses two laser-whips. Maria and Diego go to college together and have a friendly competition. They don't know each other's secret identity until the end of the first season.
Sergeant Garcia
Sergeant Garcia works for the mayor and leads the Pueblo Grande Police Department. He often ignores the mayor's bad actions. But he doesn't want anyone to get hurt. He usually tells the police not to investigate crimes. However, he is happy to arrest the bad guys Zorro defeats. He is clumsy and always eating.
The Dons
The Dons are a group of criminals hired by Mayor Martínez. They run different illegal businesses in Pueblo Grande. Later, when Gloria Sheffield runs for mayor, she hires them too.
Guest Characters
Don Diego de la Vega / Zorro (Original)
This is the very first Zorro and Diego's ancestor. He appears in one episode when Diego travels back in time. They fight against a villain called El Fantasma together.
Isabella
Isabella was the love interest of the original Zorro.
El Fantasma
El Fantasma was a villain from the 1800s and an enemy of the original Zorro.
Gustavo de la Vega / Zorro
Gustavo was Diego's grandfather and the Zorro before him. He kept the family secret from Alejandro. Gustavo often appears in Diego's dream sequences and flashbacks. He gives Diego advice on how to be Zorro.
Alejandro's grandmother
Alejandro's grandmother was a Native American woman. Like Diego's grandfather, she has passed away before the show starts. She appears in dream sequences as a young girl. She gives mysterious advice to Diego.
Fearsome Four
These are criminals hired by Mayor Martínez to stop Zorro. But they cause a lot of trouble in Pueblo Grande and try to take over the city themselves. Zorro eventually defeats them.
Alfredo Catalano
Alfredo is a scientist who invented a machine that can cause earthquakes. Mayor Martínez hired him for demolition jobs. Zorro and Scarlet Whip stopped his first job, and he was arrested.
Augusto Catalano
Augusto is Alfredo's twin brother. He is an expert in nanites, which are tiny robots. He offers to help Mayor Martínez if his brother is released. Augusto tries to stop Zorro using his nanites. Zorro eventually captures him.
Mayor Gloria Sheffield
Gloria Sheffield is the founder and CEO of Sheffield Industries. She becomes the new mayor of Pueblo Grande. She planned many city-wide attacks to ruin Horace Martínez's reputation. Gloria wins the election even though Zorro and Scarlet Whip try to help Horace.
Jack Sheffield
Jack is Gloria Sheffield's son. He pretends to be a simple jock at Pueblo Grande College. But he is actually the smart person behind the city attacks. He also creates a program to find out Zorro and Scarlet Whip's secret identities. Bernardo is able to stop his program.
