Zulma Nélida Brandoni de Gasparini, born on May 15, 1944, is an amazing scientist from Argentina. She is a paleontologist, which means she studies ancient life like dinosaurs. She is also a zoologist, someone who studies animals. Zulma is famous for finding the fossils of a dinosaur called Gasparinisaura. This dinosaur was even named after her!
Zulma's Scientific Journey
Zulma was born in La Plata, Argentina. She studied zoology at the National University of La Plata and finished in 1966. Later, in 1973, she earned her PhD in Natural Sciences.
In the 1990s, Zulma Brandoni de Gasparini became well-known around the world. This was because she led the team that found the Gasparinisaura dinosaur. She is an expert in studying ancient reptiles from South America that lived during the Mesozoic Era.
Zulma started her science career in 1972 at the CONICET. This is a big science organization in Argentina. By 2003, she became a "Superior Researcher" there. Today, she teaches about vertebrate paleontology at the National University of La Plata.
