Ágnes Osztolykán (born November 3, 1974, Csenger, Hungary) is a Hungarian politician and a strong supporter of Romani rights. She was a member of the National Assembly of Hungary (Hungary's Parliament) for the LMP – Hungary's Green Party from 2010 to 2014.
She is known for her important work in education and helping Romani children. In 2011, she received a special honor called the International Women of Courage Award from the United States Department of State.

About Ágnes Osztolykán
Ágnes Osztolykán finished her studies at the University of Miskolc in 1998. She earned a degree in political science, which is the study of how governments work.
After university, she worked for the Soros Foundation. This foundation helps support many different causes around the world. Later, she led a program called the "Decade of Roma Inclusion" at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for six years. This program aimed to improve the lives of Romani people.
Working for Romani Rights
Ágnes Osztolykán is a dedicated activist for Romani children's education. She also works hard to protect the rights of Romani people and other minorities. She believes in helping Romani people become a bigger part of society.
She strongly supports "vocational training." This type of training teaches students practical skills for specific jobs. It helps them get ready for the job market. Even when she was busy with her duties in Parliament, she volunteered as a teacher. She taught at a vocational school in Budapest that mostly serves Romani students. In 2016, she was also named a counselor for Romani affairs in the Ministry of Human Resources.
Her Time in Parliament
Ágnes Osztolykán was elected to the Hungarian Parliament in 2010. She was part of the parliamentary group for the "Lehet Más a Politika" (LMP) party. This party's name means "Politics Can Be Different."
On November 26, 2012, she was chosen to be the deputy leader of the LMP group in Parliament. This was an important role that allowed her to help guide the party's work.
Awards and Recognition
In 2011, Ágnes Osztolykán received the International Women of Courage Award. This award honors women from around the world who have shown great bravery and leadership. They work to make their communities better and fight for human rights. The award recognized her efforts to improve education and rights for Romani people in Hungary.
