Átila Abreu's Racing Journey
Átila Abreu started his racing career in karting in 1996. He then moved on to bigger racing series, showing his skills in different types of cars.
Early Days in Formula BMW
In 2003, Átila joined the Formula BMW ADAC championship. He raced with Team Rosberg and finished ninth overall. He also came in second in the Rookie Cup, which is for new drivers. He earned two podium finishes that year, meaning he placed in the top three in two races.
The next year, 2004, he switched to ADAC Mittelrhein e.V. and had an even better season. He finished as the runner-up in the championship. He won two races at the Adria International Raceway and the Nürburgring.
Moving to Formula Three
In 2005, Átila stepped up to the Formula 3 Euro Series with Mücke Motorsport. This was a more advanced racing series. He finished fifteenth in the standings, scoring points in seven races.
Racing in Stock Car Brasil
After competing in Europe, Átila returned to Brazil. He started racing in local series, including the popular Stock Car Brasil. In 2008, he joined the JF Racing team in Stock Car V8. He was chosen as the "surprise pilot" of the team, finishing eighth overall.
In 2010, Átila achieved a big milestone. He won his very first race in Stock Car Brasil. Since then, he has continued to be a strong competitor in the series.
Adventures in Stadium Super Trucks
In 2017, Átila Abreu tried something different. He made his debut in the Stadium Super Trucks series at the Detroit Grand Prix. He was the first Brazilian driver to compete in this exciting series. He drove the No. 51 truck, sponsored by Shell and Monster Energy.
In his first race, he finished eleventh after an accident. However, he completed the second event in eighth place.
