Åsa Tindra Jinder is a talented Swedish musician, born on October 9, 1963. She is well-known for playing the nyckelharpa, a traditional Swedish instrument. Åsa is also a composer, producer, songwriter, author, and lecturer. Her music has been very popular in Sweden, with her albums reaching high spots on the music charts.
Åsa Jinder lives in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. For many years, from 2006 to 2017, she lived in a place called Acktjära, which is outside Bollnäs in Hälsingland.
Early Life and Achievements
Åsa Jinder showed her musical talent from a young age. In 1979, when she was just 16 years old, she received a very special award. She was named a Riksspelman, which means National Folk Musician. This was a big deal because she was the youngest person ever to get this title!
Eurovision Success
In 1995, Åsa Jinder had another exciting moment in her career. She joined the Norwegian-Irish music group Secret Garden. Along with vocalist Gunnhild Tvinnereim, they performed a song called "Nocturne" at the Eurovision Song Contest. They won the competition, bringing home the victory for Norway!
