The İzmir Toy Museum (also called the “Ümran Baradan Toy Museum”) is a really cool place in İzmir, Turkey. It's filled with amazing toys from all over the world! How the Museum Started
This special museum was started by a talented ceramic artist named Ümran Baradan. In 2005, she gave a two-story house to the city. She also donated many toys she had collected from different countries.
Later, another person named Sunay Akın helped out. He had already started the İstanbul Toy Museum. Sunay Akın added many more interesting toys to the İzmir museum's collection.
What You'll See Inside
Today, the museum is managed by the local government of Konak, which is a part of İzmir. When you visit, you'll find different collections on each floor.
The ground floor shows off all the wonderful toys that Ümran Baradan donated. The first floor is where you can see the toys that Sunay Akın contributed. It's like a journey through toy history!
