10+2 is a super fun animated TV show for kids from Catalonia, Spain. It was made by Accio Studios and Victory Media Group. The show's director was Miquel Pujol i Lozano. It first aired in 1991. Even today, you can sometimes catch it on Germany's KiKa channel!

What is 10+2 About?

The series takes place in a make-believe land called Numberland. The main setting is a school where the teacher is Professor Aristotle. His helpful assistant is named Infinite.

The students are ten living numbers, from zero to nine! Each number has its own special personality. The characters in the TV show don't speak words. They use sounds and body language to talk to each other.

Every night, Professor Aristotle tells the story of what happened that day. He often counts things that match the number characters. But in the movies based on the show, all the characters can talk!

School Staff

  • Professor Aristotle - He is the teacher in Numberland. He is usually quite serious and firm.
  • Infinite - This is Aristotle's helpful assistant. In the English version, he is called Monty. He always tries to help others.
  • Cuco - A yellow cuckoo bird who lives inside the classroom clock.

The Number Students

  • Zero - This number is a bit naughty and likes to cause trouble.
  • One - One can be forgetful but likes to look good.
  • Two - Two really loves water and enjoys sailing adventures.
  • Three - This number can be a bit grumpy and cross.
  • Four - Four is a lazy character who loves to nap.
  • Five - Five often has bad luck and gets into tricky situations.
  • Six - Six is very neat and tidy. They also enjoy gardening.
  • Seven - Seven is super active and loves sports.
  • Eight - Eight is a bit greedy and loves to eat cakes and sweets.
  • Nine - Nine is very smart and loves to do experiments and learn about science.

Movie Characters

  • Milesima - She is Professor Aristotle's niece. Milesima is very playful and carefree. She even pretends to be a pirate!
  • Miss Zenobia - She is a substitute teacher. Miss Zenobia is very bossy and strict, even more so than Aristotle.
  • Mr. Postman - A white pigeon who wears pilot goggles. He delivers letters and sometimes helps rescue people.
  • Doctor - An owl who wears a green suit. He gives helpful medical advice.

Season 3 (2003–04)

The third season aired from 2003 to 2004. It had 26 episodes and continued the adventures of the Numberland characters.

10+2 Movies

There are also a few movies based on the 10+2 series! In these movies, the characters can actually speak.

The Magical Night (2000)

This is a 45-minute Christmas special called "10+2: La Noche Mágica." In this movie, Infinite goes on a winter adventure. It happens after something a bit embarrassing during Christmas preparations!

The Great Secret (2001)

This movie is 85 minutes long and is called "10+2: El Gran Secreto." It stars Milesima and the new teacher, Miss Zenobia. This film was even nominated for a Goya Award for best animated film!

Letters and Pirates (2005)

This 47-minute movie is titled "10+2: Cartes i Pirates." In it, Milesima pretends to be Captain Red Braid. She takes Infinite and the ten numbers on an exciting pirate journey to find treasure on Rocky Head Island!
