1010 Midtown is a tall building in Atlanta, Georgia. It has 35 floors and stands about 124 meters (407 feet) high. This building is home to 425 apartments, called condominiums. It also has many shops and restaurants on its lower floors, covering about 3,530 square meters (38,000 square feet).
1010 Midtown is part of a bigger project called 12th & Midtown. It sits on a 2-acre (0.8-hectare) block between 11th and 12th streets in Midtown Atlanta. The front of the building curves along Peachtree Street. A cool feature of 1010 Midtown is its "park-in-the-sky." This will be one of the biggest green rooftops in Atlanta, helping the environment.
Building 1010 Midtown
Many groups worked together to build 1010 Midtown. These included Daniel Corporation, Selig Enterprises, the Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund (CJUF), and MetLife. They saw 1010 Midtown as a very important part of the Midtown Mile project.
The building was designed by an architecture company called Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio. It was built by Brasfield & Gorrie. Construction started in August 2006. The building was finished in early 2009.
Shops and Restaurants
At the bottom of 1010 Midtown, you can find several new places to eat and drink. Some of these include Ra Sushi, Ribalta, and Ri Ra Irish Pub. There is also a Bank of America branch and other shops facing Peachtree Street.
The Midtown Mile
The Midtown Mile is a big development project in Atlanta. When it is finished, it will cover about 278,709 square meters (3,000,000 square feet). This area will run along Peachtree Street.
It is planned to be the newest spot for fancy shops and restaurants in Atlanta. The Midtown Mile will have many big-name stores, places to eat, hotels, and tall buildings. 1010 Midtown was the first building in this project to be fully completed.
