Building History
How the Building Was Planned
In 2001, a plan for this tall building was approved. It was designed by HOK. The idea was to create a modern building that would look good next to the older, brick buildings in London's Docklands area. The building has a curved shape, like the front of a boat. This project was part of a bigger plan to update the area.
When Was it Finished?
The building was expected to be finished in May 2004. However, it was not ready until December of that year. There were some disagreements between the companies involved about the delays.
