The 2019 Southeast Asian Games, also known as the 30th Southeast Asian Games or 2019 SEA Games, was a huge sports competition for countries in Southeast Asia. It was the 30th time this event happened! The Philippines hosted the games from November 30 to December 11, 2019, though some sports started a bit earlier on November 25.
The Southeast Asian Games are held every two years, bringing together athletes from many different countries in the region to compete in various sports.
In 2015, the Philippines agreed to host these games after Brunei decided not to. However, a couple of years later, there was a moment when the Philippines thought about not hosting anymore.
