2020 Armenian–Azerbaijani skirmishes facts for kids
2020 Armenian–Azerbaijani Border Clashes were short fights that happened between the Armenian Armed Forces and the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. These events started on July 12, 2020.
The first fights took place near Movses in Armenia's Tavush Province. They also happened near Ağdam in Azerbaijan's Tovuz District. These areas are located right on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The clashes continued from July 13 to July 16. Sadly, at least 15 soldiers and one civilian lost their lives. Among the Azerbaijani soldiers who died were a major general, a colonel, and two majors. The Armenian government also reported that one major, one captain, and two sergeants died during these events.
