On November 3, 2020, people in New Mexico voted for a new Senator. This person would represent New Mexico in the U.S. Senate. The main candidates were Ben Ray Luján from the Democratic Party and Mark Ronchetti from the Republican Party. Ben Ray Luján won the election and became a senator for the first time.
