34mag is an online magazine from Belarus. It is made for young people. The magazine is published in two languages: Belarusian and Russian. Some articles are also available in English.
Most of the articles are about art, culture, and travel. The main office for 34mag is in Minsk. Alexandr Korneychuk is the editor in chief. A special part of 34mag is "Pyarshak" (Belarusian: "Пяршак"). This name means "top quality goods." Pyarshak is a digital distribution label. It helps share music and other digital content.

How 34mag Started
The magazine was created by a Belarusian journalist named Irina Vidanova. She started 34mag after her earlier project, "Studenckaja Dumka" (Belarusian: "Студэнцкая думка"), was closed. "Studenckaja Dumka" means "The Student Thought." It was closed by the Belarusian authorities in 2005.
The very first issue of 34mag came out in 2006. It was released on compact discs (CDs). Later, in 2009, the project launched its own website. This made it easier for more people to read the magazine online.
Awards and Recognition
34mag has received important awards for its work. In 2012, the magazine won the Free Media Pioneer Award. This award is given by the International Press Institute. It recognizes media organizations that show courage and innovation.
At a festival for advertising and communication called "AD.NAK-2014," 34mag won several prizes.
- The travel guide "Belarusian: Рома едзе" (Roma Travels) by Roma Svechnikau and 34mag.net won 1st place. It also received the grand prix in the category for integrated media projects.
- Their "Limited Edition" project earned 3rd place. This was in the category for projects that help society.
- The catalogue "Books from Belarus" and the book "Belarusian: Рома едзе" both won 2nd places. These were in the category for multi-page publications.
