Aílton de Oliveira Modesto, known simply as Aílton, is a former professional footballer from Brazil. He was born on February 27, 1980. Aílton played as a midfielder during his career, helping his teams control the middle of the field.

Aílton's Early Football Journey

Aílton started his football journey in Brazil. He joined the youth team of Santos, a very famous club, before 1998. This is where he learned many of his skills.

Playing for Santos FC

From 1999 to 2001, Aílton played for the main Santos team. He appeared in 19 games and scored 1 goal. After a short time away, he returned to Santos in 2002.

Adventures in Japan

In 2001, Aílton had an exciting experience playing in Japan. He joined Kawasaki Frontale, a team in the J2 League. He played 10 games for them and scored 2 goals. He also played in one League Cup match.

Aílton's Career Across Different Clubs

After his time in Japan and his second spell at Santos, Aílton played for many different clubs. He moved around a lot, showing his dedication to the sport.

Playing in Portugal and Greece

Aílton played for Portimonense in Portugal from 2004 to 2005. He played 27 games and scored 5 goals there. Later, he moved to Greece, playing for Panachaiki and Apollon Kalamarias. He also played for AEP Paphos in Cyprus.

Returning to Brazilian Football

After his time in Europe, Aílton returned to Brazil. He played for many different clubs in various Brazilian states. Some of these teams included Londrina, CRAC, and ASA de Arapiraca. He continued to play football until around 2014. His last known club was Votuporanguense.
