Aaron Jarrell Hammons, born on August 27, 1992, is an American who used to play professional basketball. He played college basketball for Purdue University. After college, he was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2016 NBA draft. He was the 46th player picked overall that year.

High School Basketball Journey

During his first season, Hammons also spent time playing for the Texas Legends. The Legends are a team in the NBA G League, which is like a development league for the NBA. Playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce (2017–2018)

On July 7, 2017, Hammons was traded to the Miami Heat. This trade involved Josh McRoberts, a future draft pick, and some money. Hammons did not play in any games for the Miami Heat. Instead, he spent most of his time playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The Skyforce is another team in the NBA G League. The Heat later waived Hammons on February 8, 2018.
