The Story of A Pattern of Roses
The main character in the book is a boy named Tim Ingram. His parents are busy fixing up an old cottage in a quiet English village. While exploring the house, Tim stumbles upon a secret.
He discovers clues about a boy who lived there long ago. This boy was also 15 years old. Sadly, he died in 1910 (or 1914 in the movie version).
Tim becomes very curious about this past mystery. He teams up with his friend, Rebecca, to investigate. As they dig deeper, Tim starts to notice strange things. Events from the past seem to be happening again in his own life.
