Aaron Joseph Meeks (born April 26, 1986) is an American former actor. He is best known for playing Ahmad Chadway in the TV show Soul Food. This show was a family drama series on Showtime from 2000 to 2004. During his acting career, Aaron won two NAACP Image Awards. He was also nominated three times for a Young Artist Award.

Aaron Meeks' Acting Journey
Early Roles and Big Breaks
Aaron Meeks started acting when he was a child. He was part of a group called the Cornerstone Theater Company. His brother, Andrew, was also a child actor. Aaron first appeared on TV in 1999 in a medical drama called Diagnosis: Murder. He played a young boy who was being hurt.
In 2000, Aaron was in a TV movie called A Storm in Summer. He played a character named Herman D. Washington. In this movie, he acted alongside Peter Falk. Their characters became friends even though they were very different. People who watched the movie thought Aaron's acting was "impressive." He was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2001 for his work in this film. Aaron also played a young Cassius Clay (who later became Muhammad Ali) in the movie Ali: An American Hero (2000). He also acted in the TV movie Bojangles (2001) with Gregory Hines.
Starring in Soul Food
Aaron Meeks played the role of Ahmad Chadway in the drama series Soul Food. Ahmad was a teenager who went to a special school. Aaron also told the story of the series as Ahmad. He played this role from 2000 to 2004.
For his role as Ahmad, Aaron won two NAACP Image Awards in a row. He won for Outstanding Youth Actor in 2001 and 2002. In 2003, he was nominated again for an NAACP Image Award. This time it was for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Aaron also received two Young Artist Award nominations in 2003 and 2004 for his acting on Soul Food.
Later Work and Beyond
After his time on Soul Food, Aaron appeared in the TV movie Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story (2004). He also had a small role in the crime drama Crossing Jordan in 2007. Aaron Meeks has not acted since 2007.
