From 2016 to 2017, Abby played for the BA Centre of Excellence in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). She then played for the Canberra Capitals Academy in the 2018 SEABL season.
Professional Basketball Career
Abby joined the Canberra Capitals in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) for the 2018–19 season. She played her first WNBL game on October 12, 2018, against the Sydney Uni Flames. This made her the first player born and raised in the Northern Territory to play in the WNBL. The Capitals won that game 97–78.
WNBL Championships
For the WNBL Indigenous Round in December 2018, Abby helped show off special uniforms. The Capitals wore these uniforms in their game against the Perth Lynx. The Capitals went on to win the WNBL finals that season. Even though Abby did not play in the final series, she was part of the team that became WNBL champions.
In 2019, Abby played another season for the Canberra Capitals Academy in the Waratah League. In the 2019–20 WNBL season, she helped the Capitals win their second WNBL championship in a row. She played 21 games, averaging 1.3 points per game.
