Abi Tucker's Entertainment Career

Abi Tucker first became known as a singer on the Australian TV show New Faces in the early 1990s. In 1994, she got a big role in the TV series Heartbreak High. She also helped create music for the show's soundtrack. That same year, Abi released her first music collection, an EP called "Breathe In."

Early Music and Acting Roles

After her early success, Abi moved to London, UK. There, she formed a rock band called 'Bully' with musician Davi Taylor. They recorded some songs, but the record company had issues, so Abi returned to Australia. Back home, she worked on the TV series Wildside.

Abi then appeared in films like Angst and The Wog Boy. She also had roles in TV shows such as Water Rats and My Husband, My Killer. Abi continued to write and record her own music during this time. She even contributed two songs to the Angst movie soundtrack.

Success in Television and Music

Abi Tucker landed the role of Miranda Lang in the TV series The Secret Life of Us. She also featured on the show's music soundtrack with two of her own songs. Another song she performed, "Everybody," was written by Don Walker. While working on The Secret Life of Us, Abi also sang on albums for other artists like Alpinestars and Endorphin.

In 2002, Abi provided backing vocals for some songs on David McCormack's album, Candy. She wrote most of the songs for her own album, Dreamworld, which was released in 2003. After the album came out, Abi went on a tour across Australia with guitarist Sydney Green.

Theatre and Later TV Work

In 2005, Abi was offered a role in a play called Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson in London. This took her back to the UK, and the play also went to the Edinburgh Festival in 2006.

In 2007, Abi got the role of Grace McLeod in the popular TV series McLeod's Daughters. She moved to Adelaide for this role and finished writing her second album, One December Moon. She also sang many songs that were featured in the TV series.

One December Moon was released in 2008 in Australia and parts of Europe. Abi then toured Australia and later went to Europe to support singer Melanie Safka on her tour. In 2010, Abi performed in the play Poor Boy in both Melbourne and Sydney. The same year, she became a presenter on ABC's Play School and toured extensively with the show.

In 2012, Abi briefly worked as a puppeteer and voice actor for the character Hootabelle on Giggle and Hoot. She also kept writing and recording music for her third album. In 2013, she formed a music duo called The Falling Seeds with guitarist Julian Curwin.

Abi performed in Bell Shakespeare's play As You Like It in 2015. The Falling Seeds released their first album on May 28, 2015.
